I’m Jason Pagan, a UX, AI, and digital transformation leader
With more than 20 years of experience helping organizations design better digital products, stronger teams, and smarter ways of working.
My background brings together UX strategy, user research, accessibility, AI-enabled workflow design, team leadership, and digital project management. I have spent much of my career working in complex, regulated environments where good UX has to do more than look polished. It has to be usable, compliant, accessible, measurable, and realistic for teams to build and maintain.
Most recently, I served as Director of User Experience and Digital Inclusion at FCB Health NY, where I led multidisciplinary teams of UX Architects and Digital Inclusion Specialists across healthcare and pharmaceutical brands. In that role, I helped shape user-centered strategies, build accessibility practices, mentor growing UX talent, improve delivery processes, support new business opportunities, and partner across strategy, technology, creative, account, and client teams.
One theme that runs through my work is clarity. Colleagues have described me as a steady hand in complexity — someone who can zoom out to understand the bigger ecosystem, then zoom back in to the details that make an experience actually work. That is how I approach UX leadership. I connect user needs, business goals, brand vision, compliance requirements, and team capabilities into a practical path forward.
I am also focused on AI implementation, especially where AI can help teams improve how work gets done. I look at existing workflows, identify where teams are slowed down by repetitive or manual effort, and redesign those processes into smarter, more scalable systems. That includes using AI to support research synthesis, predictive analysis, prototyping, documentation, accessibility review, and workflow orchestration while keeping human judgment, governance, and compliance oversight in the loop.
Just as important, I lead people — not simply projects. I believe strong teams are built through trust, clarity, high standards, and genuine support. My leadership style is practical, empathetic, direct, and collaborative. I want the work to be excellent, but I also care deeply about how people experience the work. The best teams are not just productive; they are resilient, confident, and clear on why the work matters.
What I am not is a traditional graphic designer, a junior contributor, or someone who waits to be told how to add value. I am not the person you hire simply to decorate an interface. I am the person you bring in when the challenge needs structure, when the experience needs strategy, when the process needs modernization, and when the team needs someone who can connect the dots and help move things forward.
